Session Overview:

Kingsbridge Institute of Learning and Blackpool Research School are looking to build Evidence Expert Networks to build communities of like-minded, evidence-informed professionals who are actively engaged as advocates for the use of evidence in their settings and engaging with the Research School Network.

Through this professional development programme you will develop your evidence literacy and explore how you can influence structures in your setting to make teaching and professional development more evidence informed.

Following the programme, you will have the opportunity to be part of a community around evidence and explore how you can exemplify evidence at a school level.

Simon Cox is director of the Blackpool Research School. Research Schools were set up by the EEF and aim to share what they know about putting evidence into practice and support schools to make better use of evidence to inform their teaching and learning. Simon is an experienced secondary maths teacher and school leader, and regularly speaks at conferences and delivers training for schools about evidence-informed teaching.
