Session Overview:
Promoting High-Quality Talk in Maths
Talk is highly effective in Maths especially in reasoning and problem solving. This session will explore TOLD: an evidence-informed approach to involve and encourage pupils to query and elaborate upon each other’s ideas, whilst supporting all pupils to engage in classroom dialogue.
Maximising Positive Maths Experiences
Mathematics is all around us yet often it is isolated to a taught lesson. This session will unpick the evidence on integrating maths into everyday experiences and help schools to support families and pupils to talk positively about Mathematics!
