What challenges do pupils' face?

Alex will explore why learning can fail for every student and will unpick common issues faced by high need pupils including those with Dyslexia and ADHD.

How to deploy adaptive teaching successfully?

Do your pupils struggle to access the curriculum? Are your pupils finding homework hard? Alex will offer practical adaptive teaching approaches to address the many questions teachers have about supporting pupils who struggle.

Alex will look at putting evidence into action; planning and how to monitor and assess impact to secure success.

9.30 - 11.00 - Session 1 What challenges do pupils' face?

This session explores why learning can fail for every student. Alex also unpicks common issues faced by high need pupils (such as those with dyslexia and ADHD).

11.20 - 13.00 - Session 2 How to deploy adaptive teaching successfully?

Do your pupils struggle to access the curriculum? Are your pupils finding homework hard? This session offers practical adaptive teaching approaches to address the many questions teachers have about supporting pupils who struggle. It focuses on actionable strategies for teachers, leaders and TAs to deploy.

1.00 - 13.45 - Lunch

13.45 - 15.00 - Session 3 Structured planning: putting evidence into action.

This applied session explores practical approaches, including how to monitor and assess to secure success. 

Biography:

Alex Quigley is a National Content Manager at the national educational charity, the Education Endowment Foundation, UK. Previously, he was Director of Huntington Research School and an English teacher at Huntington School, York. He is also a columnist for TES and Teach Secondary.

Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the training date or non attendance will be subject to a 100% charge. Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the training date will not be charged.
